The Department of Cultural Technology and Communication constitutes a modern academic structure with an interdisciplinary orientation in the fields of culture and Informatics aiming to promote new scientists and professionals capable to successfully be part of the modern and demanding academic and business environment. The Department of Cultural Technology and Communication supports research efforts that cover a wide range of fields of knowledge, such as IT, Social and Cultural and Communication Studies. Its academic personnel has a strong portfolio in national and international projects, external funding, and high-quality research outputs. The Department implements research programs related to the subject areas of its field of interest. In this way, it contributes to the recording, analysis, and highlighting of aspects and practices of Greek, European and world culture through the quality production and management of cultural services and products. The specific orientation and objectives of the Department are connected to the modern European and international standards for the upgrading and constitution of a new systematic framework for the products of Culture, Digital Culture and Intercultural Communication. The D.C.T.C. cooperates with public and private organizations and companies to implement Greek, European and International Research Programs

Empower Rwanda is a women-led non-governmental organisation working on gender issues and the empowerment of young women through skills development. It currently serves more than 2,000 teenage mothers, providing second-chance education and Early Childhood Development support for their children. Its programmes use an intersectional approach to help young women remain in school, raising awareness among them, their parents and duty-bearers about the importance of education and their rights. ER maintains close collaboration with local government entities, TVET schools, the Gender Monitoring Office and the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion in Rwanda.

Consufé is a Danish consultancy and training company specialising in active learning, design for learning, technology-enhanced learning and creative thinking in higher education and VET. It has extensive international experience in research and development projects dealing with student-centred e-learning and innovative teaching methodologies across Africa, Latin America and Europe — including Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Colombia and Costa Rica. Consufé’s experience working in African contexts brings a rich perspective to the design and implementation of workshops aimed at understanding the target group and co-creating the curriculum.

Action Synergy is a Greek organisation with over three decades of experience in European projects and VET, active in the field since 1987. It is an expert in apprenticeships, digital technologies for learning, and the upskilling of VET organisations, having participated in multiple projects including DiVET, CultVET and INLESSON. Action Synergy coordinates the Capacity Building for VET project CultouraBridges and is a member of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships. Its own e-learning platform will be particularly valuable during the curriculum testing phase, especially for piloting distance learning approaches.

Akado Vocational and Training Centre is a TVET school in Kisumu, Kenya, with a distinctive model that provides childcare for young mothers’ babies during classes — directly eliminating one of the primary barriers to participation in education. Its training offer spans both traditional crafts and modern fields including automobile mechanics, electrical engineering, metal processing, modern agriculture and technology topics.

Rwanda

Mons. Mubiligi Catholic T.S.S is a church-founded private school in Rwanda, part of the national TVET School Network, dedicated to training students in computer science and technology. With 270 students and 13 staff, its main fields of study include accounting, computer applications, computer systems technology, software development, networks and multimedia. The school hosts technology laboratories to maximise practical learning and currently participates in an EU-funded 21st century skills project.

Rwanda TVET Board (RTB)

Rwanda

The Rwanda TVET Board is the national authority overseeing all TVET Qualification Framework schools in Rwanda, established under the Ministry of Education to promote quality education. Its responsibilities include designing and distributing curricula and teaching materials, establishing training methods, promoting ICT use, and coordinating trainer development and capacity-building programmes. RTB plays a critical role in the project by ensuring the curriculum aligns with national guidelines and by advocating for its wider adoption across TVET schools in Rwanda.
